Project Overview

The idea.

Blue Hour began with a single question: what does portrait study feel like before it looks like anything? The brief asked for clarity and atmosphere in equal measure, so the work started with research, references and a short written premise that every later decision could be tested against.

Creative Direction

Building the visual language.

The visual language was built from material and light first. A restrained palette, close framing and a small set of compositional rules gave Blue Hour its character, while casting, styling and location were chosen to support the feeling rather than decorate it.
